To sustain all its activities across Group operations, HB Group has become the de-facto premier shipping operator in Libya.
Over the years, the Group has invested heavily in the shipping business in order to sustain its numerous activities. HB Group is involved in many shipping and logistics businesses, partially or fully owned, including the shipping agent for MSC, the second largest global carrier.
Green Waves, another subsidiary, operates the only bonded and private customs warehouses in the country, covering over 40,000 m2, and including space for up to 268 reefer containers, powered by independent power generators. An additional 2,000 TEU can be stored, under customs custody, for clearance procedures and delivery.
HB Group has developed, and is currently expanding, a fuel oil bunker supply service. Demand is currently exceeding supply as Libya is strategically located in the Mediterranean, and has an abundance of relatively inexpensive natural resources and services. In the future, the Group will develop all the shipping related services to create a significant logistical hub for bunker fuel oil, products and services in the Mediterranean.
HB Group has commenced procedures to implement "ISO 9000" as part of a comprehensive total "Quality Management System." This process will increase the productivity of the organization and the quality of services offered.
